Me: I need to go upstairs where it’s quiet and study.
Two minutes later… 🎶Ode to Joy🎶 in my son’s room on the viola. I guess I should be glad he’s practicing…

@zoovaldes As long as there is no orange… #ForeverToThee
@jamesmiller But, you know, I also use fountain pens. So easier isn’t always my highest priority. 🤣
@jamesmiller Completely get that. (Especially if you have a hookup on the patio, which would be awesome.) Gas was definitely easier. I think I just enjoy the process of cooking with charcoal.
I bought a charcoal grill for the first time right before summer and I’m hooked. I enjoy grilling far more than I did on the gas grill. Sure it takes longer, but it’s so nice to hang out in the back yard when I’m cooking, especially now that the weather is getting nice.
Every new football season, I’m thankful that I’ve muted all Clemson-related keywords in @Twitterrific.
These white Cincy uniforms are definitely a choice.
We’ve reached the point where our high school senior is helping our high school freshman with her homework.
@kerryrm Ha! Eleanor was a name Liz and I considered 18 years ago, but we eventually decided to go with Norah.
Picked up some peanuts at the market today and made a pot of boiled peanuts. So good.
@brygentry Always! You should read the original State editorial. It’s amazing. I’ve got links in a post I wrote. sketchbookb.com/journal/2021/1…
Back in 2016, Bernard Shaw came to campus to lend his voice to a video to promote @UofSC’s efforts to preserve and share historic Marine Corp footage. He was so easy to work with and such a professional. Here’s a link to the video… fb.watch/fpIIWF19zf/ twitter.com/costareports/s…
Proud to have graduated from @UofSCCIC (x2) and currently working on my Ph.D. twitter.com/UofSC/status/1…
@a_j_w Yep. Completely agree. Both that he’s problematic, and that I still want a Tesla.
I’ve seen a bunch of electric cars in Columbia this week. Teslas of all sizes, a Hyundai Ioniq 5, a Kia EV6, a Polestar, a BMW i3, a Nissan Leaf, a Mustang Mach E, and a Chevy Bolt. Someday, I’ll be able to afford to make the switch.
Creepy guy in front of me at Walgreens to the nice woman behind the counter: “You are the most beautiful cashier I’ve ever seen in a Walgreens. I mean … wow … congratulations.”
@houseofbullock @krispykreme I guess you’ll have to buy more donuts for the next launch window.😀
NASA using both historic logos here. Meatball in the upper right. Worm on the booster. t.co/ixKuELBzi…
I just submitted a research paper to a journal for the first time. Not sure what to expect from here, but excited to embark on this next step in my Ph.D. journey.
In honor of Clowney’s jersey getting retired, you could watch The Hit, but you could also watch his high school highlights on YouTube. Closest thing I’ve ever seen to The Waterboy. youtu.be/LTkmiBdoBDc
I didn’t really need another box of @Blackwing pencils, but I ordered these yesterday the minute I saw them. twitter.com/Blackwing/stat…
@PeggyBinette The first two are easy to explain and I’m surprised the coverage didn’t mention at least one of them. The last is more complicated…
@PeggyBinette 3. The Chinese are also trying to head to the moon and so there are political types that now want to fund moon exploration again.
@PeggyBinette Three reasons:
There’s water on the moon in the form of ice. So the plan is to explore at the poles, where we didn’t explore during Apollo.
If we can learn to build a settlement on the moon, that helps pave the way for an eventual trip to Mars.
@ryalcurtis @bcbssc @unumnews Congrats. You know, you and I are basically traveling the same career circuit in reverse. I went from Colonial/UNUN -> BCBSSC -> USC. And you are going USC -> BCBSSC -> UNUM…
