The stockings were all hung by the chimney with care…. t.co/F9aChKku5…

@glyphsapp This looks fabulous. Can’t wait to upgrade.

@scarlett014j That should be the title of my eventual research paper. 🤣

@dahomes An ocean view in Orkney at the top of Scotland. I’ll take it. t.co/JNYV4Bhhl…

Decided to take an afternoon coffee break and drive to the new @LovelandCoffee location near my house in Irmo. The new space is simply stunning. I look forward to spending plenty of time here when the pandemic is over.

@kerryrm @DanCookSC @johnpvalentine Miss seeing you, too. Hopefully, when COVID is under control, you can make a trek down.

@kerryrm @DanCookSC @johnpvalentine Columbia is a small world. 🤣

Today isn’t going well. This is the time that working from home alone really gets to me. If I was at the office, I’d make @DanCookSC and @johnpvalentine walk over to Dollar General with me.

@AntonyJohnston Got my copy today! Can’t wait to read it.

@daringfireball Turns out they were really concerned about TikTok Total Landscaping. Honest mistake.

@JerseyAdBabe Phone was in my pocket so it wasn’t camera or microphone. I’m thinking it has to be background location data (GPS, WIFI or Bluetooth) or purchase data (my past purchases indicate an interest in a dishwasher purchase). Or a combination of both…

@jamesmiller I don’t have the Lowe’s app. I just checked which apps I allow to access Bluetooth… The only active app that I think would share data would be the Amazon Alexa app.

@delayedco I thought about that, too. I know that data is shared. I bought some stuff to fix a sink. Maybe they use that data to target people who may be interested in a new dishwasher.

My bet is on some kind of Bluetooth beacon at the display unit. Some app I have — and allow to access Bluetooth — is sharing data with a marketing company.

I’m an iPhone user and I’m pretty careful about what apps I allow to use positioning data or access Bluetooth. I’m a little impressed, but also concerned.

I didn’t research it or Google it. Just paused for a second. Fast forward a day and scrolling through Instagram, I see an ad for the same exact dishwasher. So how’d they do it? Dumb luck? Location data? Bluetooth beacon?

🧵 Fun with online ad tracking. I was in Lowes the other day picking up some plumbing stuff. I walked by a pretty cool dishwasher with three racks. I paused and looked at it. I’m not in the market for a new dishwasher, but thought it was a clever design.

Ryan: You’re crying?

Me: Yep. Happy tears.

@robschaller It WAS the 90s… 🤣

@KobyPinSC I grew up wanting to play the Grand Prize Game. 🤣

@thomharman @DanCookSC It was. Almost included that it the tweet, too. But thought it was too much of a deep cut. 🤣

@DanCookSC That picture is so old… it was taken at Finley Park back when the fountain actually worked.

Liz and I had our first date 25 years ago today. Crazy how fast time flies. t.co/vE7H5pdgz…

@therealCindyT I made a Georgia-themed playlist for the girls and I to listen to on the way to school.💙

You’d think it would be hard to screw up my name, but it isn’t. CVS sends emails to “Roberth.” And Petsmart has me in their system as “Bobo.”
