@kerryrm Me, too. It was such a joyous, happy moment.
I love watching NASA do amazing things. Congrats on landing another rover on Mars.
@joeldavidsawyer I can watch that clip over and over and over…
@justinahrens I’m a designer who grew up in Batavia. So I love your design insights AND the occasional peek into my old hometown.
Quick story about my neighbor, Ty, who passed away today. He was a Cubs fan, like me. When the Cubs won the World Series, at something like 1 in the morning, I ran outside to celebrate and he was outside and we met at the middle of the street with a high five.
Just found out that my neighbor across the street passed away suddenly. I’m heartbroken for his wife and young kids.
@cjlake I had someone on the Horseshoe ask for directions to “lee-gare” and it took me a few minutes to figure out what they were talking about. (And my wife lived in Legare.)
It was bad enough that my kids’ schools were sending emails with a link to a PDF newsletter. But sending me a link to a Google Doc newsletter is so much worse.
@cwinston75 That said, we completely need to grab coffee soon at someplace with outdoor seating. It’s been way too long.
@cwinston75 Thanks Chris. I’m okay. The house is absurdly quiet today. I’m realizing that I’m coming up on one year of working from home and the pandemic. Ready to move forward and I just don’t see SC making progress.
I’m having one of those days were I completely feel the isolation of working from home.
Apple’s completely going to call their AR/VR goggles Apple Reality. Or, more precisely, [Apple Logo] Reality.
I’m a #uofsc graduate, staff member, student and instructor. But I’m also a lifelong fan. #ForeverToThee
@sbird1016 I can’t stop watching it. 🤣🤣🤣
Trying to think of what Twitter features I’d be willing to pay extra for. I can think of two:
- Expanded API access so I can use every feature in @Twitterrific
- Edit button
I honestly don’t think they’d do either.
Does UCONN have more than one player? Someone should tell the announcers calling the game.
@zoovaldes This was “renew today” when I renewed three months ago. Sigh.
If membership dues is the way you make 90% of your income, I’d hope your member retention system is perhaps the most critical system in your organization. And it really should work flawlessly.
Today, I had an organization email me to let me know my membership had lapsed. The problem was, I’d already renewed a couple of months ago. I checked their online portal and they show that my membership is current. How does that email go out?
These Dominion and Smartmatic law suits are going to hinge on a single question: Is knowingly lying about a political thing considered political speech?
@BrookeWMcKeever I do think elementary school can be safer because they can minimize contact with other classes. But high school and middle school with class changes, it’s tough.
@kerryrm Trying to. I’m still working from home and Liz is a virtual kindergarten teacher. But the kids’ schools are trying to go five days a week. And it’s tough.
@sbird1016 The quarantine numbers seem to be worst out in Chapin. I’m disappointed, but honestly, not surprised.
@sbird1016 Yep. District 5… Chapin schools. The quarantine numbers are insane.
On the first week of “five-day face-to-face instruction,” my oldest is quarantined for two weeks and my 3rd grader’s school is closed because of a high number of cases. My middle schooler is still going to school, but I’m really not sure how much longer that will continue…
