@zoovaldes Our first JV lacrosse away game of the season is tonight so this is the first time I’ve had to deal with it. We’ve had to buy tickets for Chapin High, but that process is easy. Thankfully, we aren’t on the road much this season.

@kerryrm And I don’t even think about distance. When we visited Liz’s family in Idaho, everyone was giving me directions with distances and cardinal directions. “Just head east 53 miles.” I don’t know what to do with that.

@kerryrm I was thinking about that. If it was somewhere I was obviously going to walk, I’d assume a 5-10 minute walk. If I had to take a car, 5 minute drive.

@kerryrm Five minutes?

I don’t mind the online advanced ticketing. They do it in our school district. But in our district, you don’t have to set up an account and provide anything other than an email address.

How do I know this third party has no plans to sell my data for advertising purposes? That they haven’t based their entire business model on providing the ticketing service to high schools for free while harvesting data?

Tickets for an away JV lacrosse game must be purchased online.

To buy these tickets, you must sign up for an account run by an outside company.

To sign up for account, you have to give them all sorts of data like phone number, email address and birthday.

@FontStruct @glyphsapp I love Fontstruct and even though I don’t have time to design type over there very often, I’m happy to support such a great product.

I was a guest on my friend @krisblack’s podcast, Driven Creatively Mad. We had a great time talking about being creative, finding time for our creative endeavors and more. You should check it out. drivencreativelymad.com/show/bob-wertz

@jemiawilliams This is a great idea. I might have to work some “non-camera days” into my schedule. I’ve stopped feeling bad for turning my camera off when I need to, but I haven’t been proactive about it.

@thekatestewart @UofSC_CIC And actually get to see all of you in person!

@CLaurenMyers @UofSC_CIC I’ve got a lot of work to get to Dr. Bob. 🤣

Found out this weekend that I’ve been accepted to @UofSC_CIC’s Ph.D. program. I’ll still be a part-time student, but I’m excited to continue my research and spend several more years hanging around the graduate suite. Now I just have to finish my Master’s thesis. t.co/3tnwacYFG…

I’m not sure why, but I just watched the Justice League movie.

@lavsummers4 @Twitterrific It’s better than just unfollowing a person… you can just filter out certain words, phrases and hashtags. And they just don’t appear in your timeline.

@lavsummers4 I use a third-party Twitter app so I don’t have to use the web interface. There are several options, but I like @Twitterrific. Also, completely blocked “Dabo,” too.

Me: I’m surprised I don’t see more Carolina/Clemson baseball chatter in my Twitter feed…

Also me: I completely muted the word “Clemson.”

@dmoren Read this. Finally subscribed. 🤣

@kelli_boling @Unl_CoJMC Congrats!

@michaelabtaylor Squirrel! 💚🐿

Current weather: 74° and sunny.

So I took the laptop outside and I’m working in the backyard for the first time this year. I might even take my conference call at 3:00 from out here… but the chirping birds may be a distraction.

I facetimed my niece while I was on a photo shoot with Cocky and I am now the coolest uncle ever.

Apparently, @NASAPersevere has two microphones. I wonder how long before it starts recording a podcast…

Five-hour comprehensive exam done. The worst part was the proctoring software/spyware that I had to install. I think I’ve cleared it all out and reset my settings that they changed when they took control of my computer. Time to eat something and then take a well deserved nap.

Me, preparing for comps tomorrow: “I should read over my notes from that class.”

Also me: “That’s all I wrote? That’s not helpful at all.”

Wish me luck. Five hours of writing tomorrow.
