So Marvel has a villain named Typeface. He used to work in a sign shop…

@keyjbrown Completely the right call. 🤣🤣🤣

One of the tough things about being the “logo police” and a grad student at the same university is that I have to fill out all the random forms with non-compliant logos.

Well. I guess things are getting back to normal. There was an accident in Malfunction Junction. Lane blocked. Commute this morning was brutal.

@ACluttsSVHS Norah’s got a JV lacrosse game. She can’t play tonight, but I’m here to support the team. At some point after COVID we need to get our families together.

Parked in the teacher lot at Spring Valley for lacrosse. Hope I didn’t steal @ACluttsSVHS’s parking spot.

Return to the office problems: The harsh fluorescent light in the restroom at 1600 makes it abundantly clear how much gray is in my hair.

I disagree with a journal article so strongly, that I’ve added it to Zotero three times.

@holtbw That would have been great. I’ll probably still be out there for the game, because she’ll want to watch her team and varsity play. Might see you there.

@holtbw Norah plays for Chapin. JV. The Spring Valley game is one that she’ll miss, but will likely be on the sidelines.

Feel bad for Norah. We drove across town for her lacrosse game, and half way there, found out she was quarantined and couldn’t play. She’ll sidelined for two weeks and will miss at least three games.

@ShaniRGilchrist I can see your tweets.

My son trying to connect with me about my return to the office today: “Well, at least you still have your little cubicle. I like your cube, because I like small spaces.” Thanks, bud. Helps a lot…

I’m working on my thesis and rethinking things that I’ve been thinking about for over a year. I’m trying to pull together the first complete draft and keep finding things I need to add or expand.

@kerryrm Oh my. That’s amazing… and completely accurate. 🤣

@USCJan Yep. I’m frustrated at how reckless this all seems.

My dress shoes are dusty.

@kerryrm An awesome new cafe just opened near my house and it’s packed, too. I’d love to spend the day working there, but not yet. I’ve got my first vaccine appointment next week… so maybe by summer, I’ll feel comfortable.

But before COVID, my “office” was my trusty Timbuk2 bag that I took to coffee shops. When the pandemic really is over, will I still want to work at home? Or head back out to the coffee shops that I studied in previously?

A year ago because of COVID, I set up a home office in a corner of my bedroom. Now that I’m heading back to work, I’m wondering if I’ll keep it set up this way. It’s nice having a workspace at home and I’ll be starting the Ph.D. program in the fall.

Hey @DanCookSC! I was back on campus today for some photo/video shoots. Within the first 15 minutes of stepping on the Horseshoe, someone asked me for directions. #MyBrand

@sbird1016 I always say that ASAP is the lowest priority. Real priorities have deadlines. ASAP = As soon as I get around to it.

Leaving his sister’s lacrosse game, Ryan asked if he could play lacrosse, too. “Then I can be strong like Norah.” Love how much he looks up to his big sister.

@chapchap2001 I may have to do that. They need my email address and I’m fine with that. I wasn’t sure about phone number, thinking they may have to text me a confirmation or something? (They didn’t.) Birthdate? Maybe wanted to ensure I’m not a child, but they don’t need that.

@zoovaldes Yikes. That’s rough. We’ve only got 6 away games this season and all but one are in the Columbia area. Next season, I imagine we’ll be on the road more.
